Secdea Beach Resort at Samal Island, Davao

Samal Island in Davao is considered to be a dream destination in the 7,107 islands of the Philippines. It's only a 10-minute ferry ride away from Davao City, and it consists of white sand beaches and tranquil waters. It's simply the perfect destination for families, couples, and friends down South.

Numerous resorts abound in the area, and one of these is Secdea Beach Resort. It overlooks the serene and peaceful view of Davao Gulf. Secdea is also located in the middle of a Mangrovitum, a line of century-old mangrove trees that guard the shores and provide shelter for various species of fish.

Secdea Beach Resort is housed with comfortable accommodations, family-friendly amenities, and best of all, staff that are willing to go the extra mile to make your stay beyond its worth. Here are some photos of our stay at Secdea to give you a feel of the resort:

White-sand beach with a very picturesque backdrop

Kayaks - free of charge!

Fly-fish, anyone? If I am not mistaken, this has an additional fee.

Comfortable accommodations

Good food and ambiance

Others may find their food expensive (think P300 for a plate pasta in Davao), but it seems fit for the type of resort they have.

Rooms are priced depending on its design and location. Some cost P4,900 per night for 3 pax, while the one we stayed at, which overlooked the infinity pools and the beach, cost P7,890 per night for 4 pax.

Secdea Beach Resort offers a lot of amenities which we were not able to try anymore, such as the beach-side bar (I think this is for rent), gym, tennis court, jetski, and a lot more! It's indeed the ideal resort for summer getaways with families, as every member has something to do and enjoy.

Enjoy!
