Misibis Bay Review

Misibis Bay is a luxury resort tucked in Cagraray Island, Albay, Bicol. It offers a tranquil yet exciting travel experience to families, couples, barkadas, corporate groups, and practically anyone who wishes to escape from their hectic day-by-day routine.

The resort is located in a five-hectare island that resembles your much-wanted tropical paradise. It has picturesque gardens and pools, comfortable dwellings, good food, and top-notch customer service.

See our quick review below to learn more about Misibis Bay. After this, you may want to consider calling them to book a room and experience a one-of-a-kind luxury travel experience.

How to Go

We visited Misibis Bay via a 1-hour flight to Legazpi from Manila. A shuttle from Misibis Bay then picked us up, and drove us to the resort. We boarded the shuttle with a few visitors of the resort. The land travel took us about 1 hour.

TIP 1: Don't forget to arrange round-trip land transfers upon booking at Misibis Bay. Each way costs P600 per person.

TIP 2: Check-in time is 2:00 PM, so consider this too when booking your flight.

Accommodations

Misibis Bay offers a myriad of room options for you and your group! We stayed at the Standard Garden View room, which I think is their cheapest offer. Rates start at P6,900 per their official website.

The amenities in this room are very basic and the furniture look a bit old and outdated as compared to their more expensive rooms, but it's worth it nonetheless. We were able to enjoy the following at the Standard Garden View room:
  1. A very comfortable bed. I couldn't stop exclaiming "thank you Lord" as their bed really comforted my tired body after a day's worth of swimming, gym-ing, beach football-ing, and drinking.
  2. A sofa by the glass walls with, literally, a view of the garden. This is a really relaxing spot as you can just lie down and space out with a view of the green, rustling trees and bright skies.
  3. Cool air-conditioning
  4. Safety deposit box
  5. Complimentary coffee counter (with tea and the works)
  6. Unlimited chilled or warm water just outside your room
  7. Undercounter refrigerator
  8. In-room blower
  9. Iron
  10. 32" LCD TV with cable
  11. Towels, bath robes, toiletries
  12. Free abaca slippers!
  13. A seemingly private pool! This was located just outside our room.
  14. Free breakfast buffet for 2 (this was inclusive of our package)

Food and Drinks

Misibis Bay's restaurant is named Spice Market. They serve Bicol's specialty dishes, as well as appetizing meals and drinks adapted from various cuisines. Some dishes are affordable at P300+ per plate, while others tend to be a bit pricey at P700 per plate.

Spice Market also offers lunch and dinner buffets which you may avail at around P700 or P800 per person.

Their alcoholic drinks are pricey as well, which is understandable. A bottle of San Miguel Cerveza Negra costs about P170 (inclusive of 12% resort charge).

What to Do

Oh, what to do! Aside from relaxing in your comfortable rooms, take the time to enjoy Misibis Bay's swimming pools! Their main pool is located just outside Spice Market. It has a pool bar where you can order and enjoy your beer, cocktails, and shots! This pool also has a nice view of the beach.

Another pool to enjoy is this long stretch between the resort's luxurious poolside villas. They have garden speakers that play relaxing lounge music so you can enjoy your swim even more.

Don't forget to enjoy the beach too! Play volleyball, beach football, or simply relax and achieve that tan you've been dreaming of.

Shore Number 3, what they call The Beach Club. The volleyball court, soccer goals, jet skis, kayaks, etc. are located here.

You can also enjoy their gym, table tennis grounds, billiards table, and sauna for free. They also have an area with hammocks and bean bags for those who just want to spend a lazy afternoon by the green outdoors.

If you have kids with you, Misibis Bay has a Kids' Room with tee-pees they can enjoy.

A relaxing spa session is also available upon request. Click here to learn more about their Spa Menu.

Aside from these, Misibis Bay offers a number of exhilarating water activities, land adventures, and travel tours! These, of course, come with additional charge. Click here to learn more.

Customer Service

The Reception, where guests check in and check out

We stayed at Misibis Bay for 3 days and 2 nights. By this time, we pretty much knew their waiters, servers, and resort staff. They were very cordial and accommodating despite the volume of work they had.

They were also very easy to reach. They quickly reply to queries over Facebook Messenger.

***

Our short stay at Misibis Bay was a very pleasurable experience. It was a much-needed escape from the busy, bustling city of Manila. For 3 days and 2 nights, we spent a total of P9,000 for land transfers, food, and drinks for 2 pax. The accommodations, breakfast buffets, and flight have been taken care of by The Travel Club and Travease (thank you very much!!!).

Misibis Bay offers a lot of promotional packages from time to time, so make sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram. You may also visit their website at https://www.misibisbay.com for more information.
